Many TRS leaders, especially the legislators, pitched in to contribute from their personal funds to procure ambulances and gift them to the government hospitals in their respective area who were inspired by TRS working president and IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao
Five TRS leaders, including four legislators, came forward to donate eight ambulances and handed over the cheques to Rama Rao at Pragathi Bhavan on Monday. While Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao, Peddapalli MLA Manohar Reddy and MLC Naveen Kumar handed over cheques for purchase of two ambulances each, MLC Shambipur Raju and TRS Malkajgiri Parliamentary constituency in-charge Marri Rajashekhar Reddy came forward to donate one ambulance each.
On his birthday on July 24, Rama Rao gave a clarion call to the party leaders to contribute from their personal funds to donate a total of 100 ambulances to government hospitals and on behalf of TRS party, he donated six ambulances. Several Ministers, legislators and TRS leaders have already pledged funds and handed over cheques to procure over 90 ambulances as against total 100 ambulances to government hospitals in 32 districts.
