Telangana inter syllabus 2020-21: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has dropped several chapters from the humanities and languages, in line with the CBSE guidelines for reducing 30 percent of the syllabus. The TSBIE said the reduction in the syllabus is for the upcoming 2020-21 academic year only. The students will have their March 2021 Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) & May 2021 Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examination (IPASE) on the basis of 70% of the syllabus.
Inter-Board Secretary Syed Omar Jaleel said that the Telugu syllabus and history subjects were revised for the intermediate first year and the subjects of history, civics, politics, geography, public administration and commerce were revised for the second year. In the first-year history course, topics such as the Early vedic period, the Later Vedic Period, and Chapter-II Science and Technology (Indus Valley Civilization & Vedic Culture) have been omitted, according to the board. And in political science, subjects such as liberalism, individualism, and communism were also deleted.
Coming to history-II, many topics relating to Telangana 's history have been deleted, including Telangana Praja Samithi, Separate Telangana State Movement-Early, Phase Separate Telangana State Movement-Later Phase, Telangana 's famous festivals. The Secretary of the Intermediate Board said the reduced syllabus is for the current academic year and the full syllabus will be for the next academic year. He further mentioned that the changes made to this year's syllabus were posted to the official website, tsbie.cgg.gov.in.
