The AP police released former MLC and TDP leader Buddha Venkanna late at night after seven hours of questioning. He was detained after making remarks about Minister Kodali Nani and AP DGP Gowtham Sawang. He was released late at night after receiving station bail.
Venkanna was charged with violating Indian Penal Code sections 153 A (making offensive statements), 506 (creating hatred or contempt), and 505 (2) (inflaming regional and religious sentiments). Venkanna stated following his release from the police station that he would not be intimidated by police excesses. He stated that he would continue his fight against Kodali Nani.
In connection with his comments against Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police Gowtham Sawang, the AP police arrested prominent TDP leader and former MLC Buddha Venkanna on Monday evening. Venkanna's home was raided by the police under the guise of seeking clarification on his remarks concerning the DGP. They eventually detained him.
DGP has now become Director of Jagan Party, according to Venkanna. Nani would only return as a corpse if he attempted to attack Chandrababu Naidu's home, he added. The TDP claimed that the AP cops were vengeful. The police were functioning as agents of the ruling YCP, according to the report.
