In what can be a shocker, TDP has changed its Puthalapattu MLA candidate Terlam Purnam. With severe opposition from local cadre and due to the candidate's alleged poor health, Chandrababu Naidu has decided to change the candidate. Lalitha Kumari Thomas will now be announced as the fresh candidate for Puthalapattu Assembly constituency in Chittoor district.
Apparently, Purnam was not available for one day to party leaders and cadre after her name has been announced. This has created several doubts among party's top leadership. Party's senior leadership have raised suspicion over Purnam's nature and speculations that she could be in touch with YCP. With this, TDP has changed the candidate and announced Lalitha Thomas who has been working hard for the party in the constituency.
Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu has decided to not to change Kadiri Babu Rao who was offered to contest from Darsi Assembly constituency. Actually, Naidu wanted to field Sidda Raghavarao's son from Darsi so that it would help both Darsi Assembly constituency and Ongole Parliament segment. However, Naidu doesn't want to change Kadiri Babu Rao who is from Kapu community and also a close confident of Nandamuri Balakrishna. Finally, Naidu has decided to not change Darsi MLA candidate. He has entrusted the responsibility of Darsi Assembly to MP candidate Sidda Raghavarao.
