Nara Lokesh, the general secretary of the Telugu Desam Party and a member of the Legislative Assembly, declared yesterday on Monday that he has contracted with Covid19. Now, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, his father and the Chief of TDP, has revealed that, he too has tested positive for the Corona virus.
On Tuesday today, the TDP chairman said that he had tested positive for Coronavirus and was suffering from minor symptoms.
"I've tested positive for COVID with minimal symptoms," CBN wrote in the tweet. I've quarantined myself at home and am taking all precautions necessary.
I would advise everyone who has come into contact with me lately to get tested as soon as possible. Please be careful and safe."
TDP activists and well-wishers rushed to Mr Naidu's comment section as soon as he announced the news, wishing him a swift recovery. During the continuing third wave of the pandemic, various politicians around the country have tested positive for Covid19.
Meanwhile, on Monday, the number of active Covid19 cases in Andhra Pradesh surpassed 30,000. The number of new positive cases in the state has risen to 4,108, bringing the total number of active cases to 30,182.
