Looks like Anurag Kashyap and the controversies have some special bonding. His recent release Manmarziyaan has landed itself in a blazing controversy over a smoking scene in the film.
The scene, in which Abhishek Bachchan who plays Robbie, a Sikh solemnizes his marriage rituals in a Gurudwara and then steps out. He is seen removing his turban and smokes a cigarette. This sequence has upset some Sikhs who blamed it for hurting their religious sentiments.
In order to avoid the controversy heating up further, the production house, Eros, has deleted the secene without Anurag’s knowledge. When Anurag learned about this, he blasted the producers in a tweet.
Even Tapsee Pannu, the lead actress of the film got upset over the whole controversial episode and took to her Twitter account to vent out her disagreement.
She wrote, "I am sure this edit will assure that no Sikh will ever Smoke and no woman will ever think about ANYONE else while getting married in a Gurudwara. THIS surely will make Waheguru proud and assures that MY religion is the purest, most righteous and peaceful."
This tweet of hers has drawn loads of tweets trolling her. But as always, the actress knows her ways and gave befitting replies savagely.
