On Monday evening, there started a buzz in political circles of Andhra Pradesh that the new state is going to get a new governor. As ESL Narasimhan is acting as a joint Governor of AP and Telangana from a long time, it is heard that BJP folks at the centre have considered a replacement.
The name of former Minister Sushma Swaraj, who hasn't contested in the recent elections, has popped up on political screens. Even big Telugu news channels have confirmed that Sushma is likely to take up the post soon. They have even added the masala that PM Narendra Modi has revealed the same to AP CM YS Jagan during his recent visit.
Caught by this sudden surprise, Sushma Swaraj has made a tweet late in the night, "The news about my appointment as Governor of Andhra Pradesh is not true".
On the other hand, in case if such staunch supporters of BJP get appointed as Governors of state, surely BJP might strengthen themselves in those states.
