Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has reacted to special category status one more time. Special status is one among several promises, Jagan made during the election campaign of 2019. One cannot ignore the fact that the same promise had a reasonable impact in the victory of YSRCP in the state.
In a special meeting arranged at Camp Office to discuss about industrial sector, Jagan said that the state government would have demanded Centre for special status if BJP is in a position to take support from YSRCP government. As the BJP government had got a full majority across the country, no such need has been arised. But there would arise a day where BJP seeks support from AP government. Then, YSRCP government will have the possibility of demanding special status, he confidently said.
He opined that special status cannot be demanded at this point of time, but it cannot be ignored completely as Centre would forget about it. While everyone is criticizing the young CM for not raising about special status, the dynamic CM surprised everyone by raising himself about special status.
