As per the orders of the Supreme Court, the CBI Special Court in Hyderabad took up the regular hearings of the AP CM YS Jagan illegal assets cases. On the plea of the Compliance Directorate (ED) to take up its cases first, the arguments persisted today. The day passed with the presentation of their claims from both sides on which cases should be heard first. The next hearing was postponed to November 2 by the CBI judge at the conclusion of the day's hearing. CM YS Jagan's lawyers objected to the ED plea on their part. They decided to first take up the CBI cases.
The ED was sticking to its appeal. Another point was put forward by CM YS Jagan lawyers, arguing that the cases of both the CBI and the ED should be taken up concurrently. They argued strongly against first taking up the ED cases alone. The court deferred the case hearing to November 2 without taking any decision. The Obulapuram Mining Company case hearing was, meanwhile, postponed until November 3. The bail scam case of Gali Janardhan Reddy was also addressed. The hearing was delayed until November 2.
