The suspense is over as comedian Ali has finally entered politics and joined YSR Congress party. After meeting Jagan at Lotus Pond and joining YSRCP, Ali spoke to the media and said his aim is to make Jagan as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
"I did not get a proper assurance from the TDP leadership and so I joined YSRCP. I'm willing to contest from Vijayawada or Rajahmundry, if party gives ticket. I got a word from Jagan and I know he will stick to his word," said Ali. When asked about why he did not prefer Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party, he replied that friendship and politics are different. As a friend, I wish him success and I will be happy if he is successful.
To the question, will Jana Sena have its influence in the elections, Ali smartly replied that people of Andhra Pradesh will decide it. Ali in the past stated that whichever party offers him ministry, he would join that political party. So the media asked whether he got any assurance from Jagan regarding it, Ali said, "For now I will extensively campaign for the party in elections. Let's see about the ministry later."
