In the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) results that were released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) yesterday on Friday, Tummala Snikitha, a student from Telangana state, secured all-India third rank. The second topper among the girls was Snikitha, who received 715 out of 720 points. Anantha Parakrama B Nookala, another Telangana student, bagged 11th rank and received 710 marks. In the top 50 ranks, as many as seven students from Telangana were mentioned.
Snikitha said she expected to be in the top 10 list, but she never expected to be a state topper. A total of 54,872 candidates from Telangana State registered for the test, of whom 50,392 appeared for the test and 49.15% of whom were students eligible for the examination. Counseling will be administered by the Director-General of Health Sciences, with 15% of all-India quota seats being held by the Government of India. Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences will prepare the merit list in accordance with the state rules and on the basis of all-India ranks for the state quota.
