Lockdown Extended Till May 7, Swiggy & Zomato Suspended

With the increasing number of Corona positive cases in the state, Telangana CM KCR has convened a cabinet meeting today and announced the decisions of the state cabinet.

He announced that the state government has decided to extend the lockdown till May 7 in the Telangana against to Centre's decision of lockdown till May 3rd with relaxations from April 20. Telangana state decided that there won't be any relaxations in the state given the severity of condition in the state.

KCR has announced that the door-step food delivery services like  Swiggy, Zomato, Uber Eats, Ola Food
 and others have been suspended from April 20 till the lockdown period is over. He said this is considering the increasing number of cases. He said there is no relaxation in any rules and conditions of lockdown other than the existing relaxation on the groceries and daily-used items.

He asked people to strictly adhere to the rules imposed. He asked people to stay at homes and follow the safety norms. He reiterated that all religious practices and mass gatherings are not allowed in public places and asked people to confine to their prayers at homes.

KCR thanked the medical staff and police department for their continuous services during this crucial times. He announced that the 10 percent incentive would continue to health staff and police personnel for the month of April as well. He appreciated the hard work of doctors, nurses, sanitation staff and police officials. Meanwhile, KCR said that the cut in salaries to government employees continue.

However, he announced minor relief to the pensioners. While the pensioners witnessed 50 percent cut in their salaries last month, he said considering the requests from various people, pensioners will get 75 percent of their pension for April against 50 percent in March. This is minor relief to pensioners.

CM KCR has asked people to not suffer and said the government is willing to help people who are poor and needy. He asked people in need to dial 100 for any help required.

Meanwhile, CM KCR has passed orders to the owners of residences to not take rents from the tenants up to 3 months. He said it's not request but it's government's order.
