Hyderabad: The State Government would collect regularisation fees based on the land value at the time of the applicant's registration, rather than the existing registration amount, in a big relief to the applicants of the Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS). In this regard, Municipal Administration Minister KTR made an announcement at the State Legislative Assembly stating that a fresh government order would be issued within a few days of amending the preceding order. In the face of rising demands from the general public, the State Government took the decision.
The state government issued notification of the introduction of LRS as a last time step in all the state's urban and rural areas to put an end to the state's illegal layouts. The move came after the State government agreed to prohibit the registration of plots purchased hereafter in illegal formats to ensure planned and sustainable growth. For regularisation on payment of approved fees, only layouts and plots with registered sale deed / title deed existing as of 26 August this year will be considered. The applicants were instructed to pay Rs 1,000 registration fee for individuals, and Rs 10,000 for developers of the software. The applicants should pay all the specified charges before 31 January 2021 once they have been approved.
