Recently, action hero Gopichand has reportedly signed his next film after ‘Seetimaarr’ with versatile director Teja. Touted to be a family entertainer, the film is tentatively titled as Alamelu Manga Venkata Ramana and it will be jointly bankrolled by People Media Factory and Abhishek Agarwal Arts banner. Initially, speculations went rife that Kajal Aggarwal and Anushka Shetty are the frontrunners to play the leading lady opposite the macho hero in the film.
However, according to latest reports circulating in T-Town, national award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh has been approached to essay the female lead in the content-driven film. Grapevine suggests that the 27-year-old diva was mighty impressed with the script and is yet to take the final call. Director Teja has already wrapped up the script work and the casting process is currently underway.
Besides playing the leading lady in Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe and Nithiin’s Rang De, Keerthy Suresh is essaying the role of a sharpshooter in Nagesh Kukunoor’s sports-drama ‘Good Luck Sakhi’. She is also looking forward to the release of Miss India, a direct Telugu film.
According to reports, the ‘Mahanati’ actress has decided to slash her remuneration by 20% - 30% for her future projects. Owing to COVID-19 crisis and its massive impact on the film making business, the leggy lass has announced a cut in remuneration for her upcoming films. If this news turns out to be true, she will be the first female actor of Tamil and Telugu cinema to do so.
