Hyderabad: TRS party founding member and senior leader M Sudarshan Rao, 62, passed away on Wednesday because of a cardiac arrest at AIG Hospital in Gachibowli. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed grief over Sudarshan Rao 's demise and extended his heartfelt condolences to the members of his bereaved family. On the occasion the chief minister thanked the former in the early days of separate Telangana movement for his excellent work. Sudarshan Rao, who contested in 2009 as a TRS candidate from the constituency of Kukatpally Assembly, has suffered from COVID-19 for the last few days and was being treated at the hospital.
Working president of TRS and minister KT Rama Rao who also expressed shock at Sudarshan Rao 's demise, recalled his two-decade association with the latter. He said Sudarshan Rao was among the few leaders who plunged into the separate Telangana movement and joined TRS since its formation, as well as standing with the party during tumultuous times. He shared his sincere concern for members of the family. Ministers, MPs and lawmakers also expressed their condolences on Sudarshan Rao 's demise and prayed for his departed soul to rest in peace.
