Siddipet: T Harish Rao, Minister of Finance, said the Telangana government had enacted a new revenue act with the intention of freeing the state from all land disputes. Speaking to farmers here on Sunday after distributing pattadar passbooks to farmers at Thoguta Mandal in Dubbak Assembly Constituency, Rao said that a digital survey of land across the state would be undertaken by the Telangana government to make the land records transparent.
Saying that during the Nizam rule, the last land survey was conducted in Telangana, the Minister said that the digital land survey would put an end to land disputes. He said that farmers don't even need to spend a single rupee on digital surveys. While the government of Telangana launched various schemes for the benefit of the farming fraternity, Harish Rao said that the government of the Union works against the interests of the farmer.
The senior TRS leader has said that the BJP-led union government has suggested the installation of electricity metres on all agricultural pumpsets, which the TRS strongly opposes, saying that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has lost the very basic right to seek the vote in the coming Dubbak by-election by enacting a new Farmers Bill. Throughout Sunday throughout Dubbak Constituency, Harish Rao, MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy participated in several programmes. In their presence today, a number of leaders from several opposition parties have joined TRS. Earlier, on Sunday morning, Harish Rao unveiled a statue of Dr BR Ambedkar's statue in Lakudaram village of Kondapak Mandal. On Sunday, T Harish Rao inaugurated various development projects in Kondapak Mandal.
