Erra Gangireddy, who is alleged to have been involved in the sensational murder of late YSR's brother and present CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's paternal uncle YS Vivekananda Reddy, has refuted the allegations. He said that he has no axe to grind against YS Vivekananda Reddy and asked as to why he would kill Viveka.

Erra Gangireddy said that he had wonderful relations with Vivekananda Reddy. He said Viveka took every care of him and has helped him in many ways. "Why would I kill him, he asked.  He said he had a very amicable relationship with Viveka. He refuted the allegations made by the security guard of YS Viveka's house Rangayya. He said he does not know who Rangayya is.

It may be recalled that security guard Rangayya had given a statement in the Jammalamadugu court in which he had said that Erra Gangireddy had murdered Viveka. He said he had not revealed this so far as he was afraid of an attack on his life. He said that Erra Gangireddy had threatened him if he told his name. Rangayya told the mediapersons that he has given the names of Erra Gangireddy and former driver of YS Viveka Dastagiri and one Sunil Kumar.

In the wake of these allegations, Erra Gangireddy on Saturday appeared before  the media and said that he does not know who Rangaiah was. He said no case has been registered against him in either Kadapa or Pulivendula. He said that he had extremely cordial relations with YS Viveka and sought to know as to why anyone would kill a person like YS Viveka.
