The outbreak of the deadly coronavirus has left the British Conservative politician Nadine Dorries as the first-ever member of the Parliament to test positive for COVID-19.
Nadine Dorries said that after testing positive for the coronavirus she has been taking all the precautions advised by the doctors and kept herself self-isolated at home
Dorries who also happens to be the Health Minister added that currently, she is quarantined at home and her office was also shut down. She took to Twitter to thank everyone who has sent her wishes.
"So many good wishes. It's been pretty rubbish, but I hope I'm over the worst of it now," read her Tweet.
She added that she is more concerned about her mother who is 84 years old who will be sent for medical examination tomorrow. "She is being tested tomorrow. Keep safe and keep washing those hands, everyone," the MP said.
The British media reported that Dorries has attended a reception with the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and interacted with many people in Parliament post the meeting.
