As the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) continues to crack down on the Bollywood drug links, many top film industry personalities have been summoned for investigation, including Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor. Nonetheless, actress Rakul Preet on Thursday declined to accept appeals from the central agency and did not show up for questioning. So far, Rakul Preet Singh has not received the alleged summons either at her residence in Mumbai or Hyderabad, "an official statement from her team read."
However, the statement issued by the 'Yaariyan' actor turned out to be false as the KPS Malhotra of the NCB revealed that Rakul Preet Singh was actually summoned for questioning, but she did not respond to it. Rakul Preet was summoned and contacted via various channels, including her phone, but she was not available. No response has been received so far from her,' KPS Malhotra said Thursday. In order to buy time, the NCB resented her summons, alleging that Rakul Preet had 'attempted to misguide' and claimed that if she did not comply, a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) would be forthcoming. Subsequently, the team of Rakul Preet verified that the summons had been issued and said that on Friday, one day later than she was expected to enter.
Now, Rakul Preet Singh's home in Mumbai has been raided by NCB sleuths in the most recent growth. Abigail Pande called in again. In addition to the five names, Abigail Pande, a television actress who was questioned by the agency on Wednesday, was summoned again on Thursday. After their alleged link to drug peddler Anuj Keswani came to light, Pande and her husband, actor Sanam Johar, were questioned. The NCB also carried out a raid to recover drugs at their residence in Juhu and found 'charas' as per reports.
After conducting searches at the residence of the couple, agency officials have now carried out raids at various locations in Mumbai. Raids in many parts of Mumbai are currently underway. Sara Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, to join the probe. On Friday, September 25, Deepika Padukone, whose name appeared in suspected Whatsapp chats in October 2017, was asked to appear before the NCB. Deepika's questioning will be followed on Saturday, September 26, by Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor. As she was in Goa for a shooting, Deepika was issued a summons from the agency over a phone call. In order to hand over summons in the drug-related investigation, NCB officials personally visited Shraddha and Sara's residence. Simone and others were called over a phone call as well.
