Sri Lanka is rocked by series of bomb blasts today. On Easter Sunday, bomb blasts took place at three Sri Lankan churches and three high-end hotels. In this unfortunate incident, 120 people were killed and 400 others injured. One church in Lanka's capital Colombo and two additional churches outside Colombo are at the receiving end. "Hundresed of them have already been admitted, and more are still coming in," an official at the Colombo National Hospital said.
Explosions have hit St Anthony's Church in Kochcikade, Colombo, St. Sebastian's church at Katuwapitiya in Negombo and another church outside Colombo. The tourists at top hotels were targeted.
Only around six percent of Sri Lanka is Catholic while others are Buddhist. Hindu community population is also considerable. Besides Sinhalese people, Tamil people also stay in Lanka.
It is not clear who is the responsible for the bomb blasts. There were no immediate claims of responsibility.
