On Wednesday, the Andhra Pradesh High Court ordered the Pulivendula magistrate to hand over all the related documents to the CBI investigating former Minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy's murder case. Under suspicious circumstances, Y S Vivekananda Reddy, the uncle of AP CM YS Jagan, was found dead at his residence in Pulivendula on March 15 , 2019. The investigation into the murder case of Y S Viveka, the younger brother of the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, was handed over to the CBI by the High Court. On Wednesday, the High Court directed the magistrate of Pulivendula to hand over to the CBI all records of the case after the magistrate of Pulivendula declined to send the records to the CBI.
Following this, in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, the CBI filed a petition appealing to the court to order the Pulivendula Magistrate to send the documents. The CBI has stepped up its investigation of the matter. Vivekananada Reddy's residence in Pulivendula was also visited by the investigative agency and the statements of family members and several top police officers were reported. Y S Viveka 's daughter, Y S Sunitha, approached the High Court seeking a CBI investigation into his father's murder. Three SITs have been formed so far to investigate the murder, and at least 1,200 witnesses have been investigated. More than two years after Viveka was found dead under mysterious circumstances, the investigation has so far made little headway.
