Andhra Pradesh Needs Better Leaders-Pawankalyan
Category: Political News

Jana Sena Party Chief Pawan Kalyan said that there was a difference between the Andhra people and Andhra leaders. He said that he would have showed all the tough times to the Andhra rulers, had he been heading the Telangana movement. He was speaking at a public meeting arranged at LB Stadium in Hyderabad.

He said that he does not like the way Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao spoke without any logic against the people of Andhra. "How is it possible for a democracy to function without Opposition parties," he asked, indirectly hinting at KCR and Modi who are trying to completely silence any opposition to them.

He said that he wanted to see a change in Telangana. People should think and act rather than being carried away by sentiment and emotion, he said. "All the leaders in Telangana have joined the TRS, despite slamming the TRS chief before switching loyalties," he reminded and took the names of Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Errabelli Dayakar Rao.

Pawan said that there was a need for fresh blood to enter into the politics in Telangana state. He stressed the need for women, who took part in the Telangana movement, to be given an opportunity to enter politics in the state. He reminded that hundreds of youth sacrificed their life the sake of separate Telangana and lamented that youth were not being given a chance to enter the corridors of the Assembly.

He said that BSP chief Mayawati was a strong leader and that he wanted to see her as the Prime Minister. "When a chaiwala can be a PM, why can't Mayawati be? She is like Kavitha who is blessed with a father who is CM and belongs to upper caste. Mayawati struggled her way to the top, despite being a Dalit," he commented.
