Andhra Pradesh, which is India 's second worst-affected state, continues to fear the ongoing pandemic with the state 's overall infections surged the 5 lakh-mark.
According to the media bulletin, 58,187 samples have been screened in the last 24 hours, and 8,368 infections have been detected bringing the total to 5,06,493. They've tested 41,66,077 samples so far. In the last 24 hours the count of fresh pandemic cases in the state decreased which is a sign of improvement. AP registered more than 10,000 fresh cases for 10 consecutive days, until yesterday. The cumulative deaths linked to the current pandemic are inching towards the 4,500-mark with 4,487 including 70 patients breathing their last fight with the virus in a single day.
Over the last 24 hours, 10,055 patients have managed to recover from the infectious disease and overall state recoveries have risen to a staggering 4,04,074. The reported cases reached 97,932. With 68,260 positive cases followed by Kurnool(48702), Anantapur(45884), West Godavari(43853), and Chittor(43436), while East Godavari remains the worst-affected area in the State.
