Unable to pursue her studies as she was called by Tollywood, famous character artist Hema has now decided to complete her education and graduate. On Sunday, Hema appeared for the BR Ambedkar Open University entrance test, which was at the examination centre in Nalgonda. When she was a teenager, Hema, 53, began filming as an artist. She could not complete her studies as she was getting a slew of offers to star in many films. Till the seventh class, she followed her studies and later abandoned it, placing her energies and emphasis on her occupation, which is acting.
An alternative channel is provided by the BR Ambedkar Open University in Hyderabad to those who have skipped higher education opportunities. In particular, the university caters to women, people employed and those who want to develop their academic qualifications and technical skills. Hema's original name is Krishna Venu for those who don't know her and she comes from Razole in Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari district. Hema is the vice president of the Movie Artiste’s Association (MAA). Interestingly, her luck in politics had also been tested by Hema. In 2014, she challenged the Jai Samaikyandhra Party of Kiran Kumar Reddy and lost the Mandapeta Assembly constituency.
