Taj Hotel Staff Tested For COVID-19 And Quarantined

The Indian Hotels Company Ltd., which runs the Taj chain of properties, was hosting doctors and health workers from state-run hospitals. When screened, some of the employees of this iconic hotel was tested positive for the virus.

Approximately 500 of the employees who are at work in our Mumbai hotels have been tested to date. The company haven't specified the number of infected employees, and said asymptomatic showing absolutely no signs of illness among the infected.

However, the employees tested positive for the virus were duly hospitalised, and others who were in contact with them have immediately been put in quarantine. Currently, there are no guests in the hotel except very minimal staff in areas like Cand staff
 housekeeping, security, maintenance and staff dining are present to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel.

Meanwhile, the COVID-19 positive cases have raised to 43 in the Dharavi. The officials have widened screening and will test everyone in Dharavi about seven lakh in number
